Here are more fun photos of some of the Branson Primary students...and teachers too...dressed up as characters from my books.  Mesa Mitchell's class wrote me the sweetest email saying, "We are story magicians."  What could be better?

MY CHARACTERS CAME TO LIFE

When I visited Branson Primary in March, I was delighted to see multiples of some of my favorite characters walking into the room.  There were fancy Sophie LeBeques...oh, so fancy...from Metro Cat, Jack Huffles and Old Dog Blues from Roar of a Snore, Little Cottontails from Hugs on the Wind, Quacks from Quick, Quack, Quick, tigers from Heart of a Tiger, Joshua Summerhayes from The Pumpkin Runner, and lots of Little Skunks from The Tail of Little Skunk.  Here are a couple of photos of the sweetest skunks plus other characters from Mesa Mitchell's class.

WE LOVE HUGS CLUB - BEST MEMBERS EVER

Mesa Mitchell, kindergarten teacher extraordinaire, sent more photos of her class sending hugs, by way of balloon.  She has been teaching them all year about reading and writing.  It was great fun to be at their school and talk books with them.  If you'd like to join the WE LOVE HUGS CLUB and get stickers to wear, follow this link:We Love Hugs Club stickers

HUGS ON THE WIND

Branson Primary in Branson, Missouri sent hugs on the wind by balloon.  I love it.  I don't recall any class ever doing this before.  A wonderful way to remember those we love and miss, whether near or far.

When I visit schools, I have the younger students send hugs to someone they miss with me.  We think of someone we miss, make a hug with our arms over our heads, and Whish...Whish...let the wind take them.

Love those School Visits!

A few more photos from my recent trip to Missouri.  Look at these creative kids!  Go, kids, go!!

So much amazing art from the students!
A serious conversation about writing.

Making a point...maybe...

The kids had individual stories and photos of them snoring also!  Fabulous.

Kim Pingleton, librarian, and myself.  Look at the wonderful silhouettes of my characters.
